BPGP: Benefit Makeup Remover

Jun 7, 2010

Last month, I used a coupon code on Sephora and received a full-size bottle of Benefit’s “Gee, That was Quick” makeup remover ($21).  And let me tell you, this stuff is ah-may-zing!

As many of you know, even though I am pushing thirty (eek!), I still struggle with acne.  And due to the erratic D.C. weather we’ve been having my skin has vacillated between dry and oil slick for weeks.  But since I started using this product to remove my makeup before I cleanse, my skin has achieved something resembling balance.

Personally, I had always believed that makeup remover was this extra step that I didn’t need.  But this product proved me wrong.

Unlike soap, this product is fast, non-drying and you don’t remove three layers of skin while removing your makeup.  The ease with which this product removes even full-coverage makeup is somewhat astounding.  So put away the chisel, because this miracle liquid will have the waterproof mascara rinsing right off.

This product has balanced my skin to the point where my acne is a lot less vicious.  In fact, I went without this product last week and after three days of soap and water cleansing, I had acne again after almost two weeks blemish free.

Translation: I am never leaving home without this product again!  This is definitely one of those rare occasions when adding an extra step actually makes life easier.

Love this stuff! I bought it the same day that I purchased my Clarisonic Mia, and I’m seeing good results!

Is the Mia the better buy? I’ve read over and over that most people only use the setting on the Mia anyway, and the price is a little easier to swallow. Even if I kinda can’t wait to get mine!

Since Sloane was born, I’ve fallen hard into a black, white, and blue wardrobe. This is not necessarily a bad thing, but as spring blooms, I need a little color in my wardrobe (and probably a little print too). Here are a few tops that caught my eye for work.

Too Many Tabs: April 19, 2024

This week, I fell mindlessly into my phone more than I think I ever have. My screen time went from 3.5 hours per day to 5 hours per day. But the increased eye strain did lead to some good finds. Just going to leave this right here.  (I really need to work on “Didn’t make […]
