On the Road…Again

Jun 1, 2010

Ladies,

I will be out this week for the District Work Period spending my days on the open road.  I dislike driving, nor am I particularly good at it, so whether I make it back or not is in the hands of St. Christopher.

I meant to forward post this weekend, but my Friday night flight left me trapped in Minneapolis overnight and then my rebooked Saturday flight was delayed for several hours.  This is the pure joy that is dealing with the airline industry.  Oh, and I will never again complain about the D.C. cabbies since the Minneapolis cabbies add an additional $4.50 to any fare originating at the airport, causing my 1.5 miles ride to cost nearly $25.  Un-real.

The good news is that I did manage to read every Vogue, Elle, Glamour and Lucky ever published during my time at the airport, so look for fresh content next week.

xoxo

It’s allegedly spring. However, for every minute of sunshine, there seems to be an hour of rain and gloom. So while I’d love to wear lighter spring pieces, it’s time to bring on the layers.

Business Casual Outfit: Linen Closet

And just like that, it’s April. Summer is almost upon us, and the retailers are filled with linen wares. Now, you know that I am usually unwilling to wear linen to work due to the wrinkles. But in this post-pandemic world, perhaps my mind can change.
