All I wanted for Christmas this year was thick, lush eyebrows like super model and Estee Lauder cover girl, Hilary Rhoda. Sadly, years of over plucking has made placed this gift beyond the reach of even the most benevolent Santa. To add some oomph to my lackluster brows, I like to fill-in the sparse spots with Tarte EmphasEyes Brow Pencil in medium brown.
Previously, I used a Smashbox brow powder and a flat brush to fill in my brows, but I found that this method deposited too much powder and didn’t look very natural. The EmphasEyes pencil is super fine and makes it possible to fill in the brows in a lighter, more natural way.
For those of you who don’t usually touch up your brows, defining your brows can make a world of difference for your overall look. It emphasizes your eyes and defines your face shape. So give Tarte’s EmphasEyes a try and see what a big difference a little touch up can make.
If spending $20 on an eyebrow pencil seems like a poor fiscal decision, try Maybelline’s Define-a-Brow super fine pencil. At just $4, it’s certain to make the budget conscious shopper much happier.
How would you know if you’re a candidate for using an eyebrow filler? I have dark, heavy brows so I sorta don’t think I need one, then I see models in ads who have similar brows but theirs are filled in.
Agreed! Even if I am running super late in the morning, the one thing I have to do is fill in my brows. It makes such a huge difference and has much the same effect on my eyes as wearing mascara.
I walked into Sephora last night, pulled out my phone, scrolled to this entry, and promptly purchased this brow pencil. This morning my eyebrows look sooo much better – mine are sparse, and light ("taupe," according to tarte), and they’re much more striking today. Thank you so much!
Weirdly, as I was scrolling to this entry to comment today, I realized that right before purchasing said brow pencil, I bought the coral striped cardigan from Banana you later featured. Thanks for getting in my head, I look much cuter now!
You’re welcome! That’s why I’m here!
