For three weeks, this spectacular business suit has been living rent-free in my brain. The slate blue color is perfect for spring, but ready for any season. I loved it so much, I decided that it never hurts to have a great business suit around, even if my current work attire is a bit more casual.
Ann Taylor hit all the right notes with this suit. I love the freshness of the color. The skirt and collared blazer combo is a classic. The wide leg pants and sleek blazer is a more modern look. Every option is perfect for court, a big meeting, or any day when you need to feel your best.
For a shirt to wear with it, I like a monochromatic look with this pleat-front top. For something a bit more modern, but still monochrome, try this seamless top.
If you’re in the market for a new suit, this is the one.

That does look good
When you said the seamless looks “modern” I think that changes my outlook on those. I’ve admired that “quiet luxury” look on others who have the tall thin model build. On me and at my price point I often felt like a Star Trek extra. But thinking about it as “modern” changes my mindset and makes me want to give them more of a chance or maybe spend more for a more flattering look.
It’s just a sleeker look. Give it a try, maybe you love it, maybe you don’t.
Love the color. I bought a dress with a front slit just like that from Ann Taylor. When I sat down in court I flashed thigh and couldn’t figure out how to navigate the dress the entire hearing. Just do a sit test before you wear it to work lol.
Good tip.
