The Brand: The Perfect Loungewear

Jan 24, 2022

One of the few things the pandemic has been good for is stocking my loungewear drawer with stylish, comfortable pieces.  I’d never spent much money on soft clothes because they were rarely worn, until COVID.  So when I spot loungewear that is stylish enough to wear out of the house, but comfy enough for the couch, I need to share it.

This Madewell Chunky Henley has a great look.  The collar is really interesting.  The color will pair well with leggings or jeans.  And it has a relaxed cool.  The sizing runs XXS to XXL.

The olive sweatshirt is from Madewell’s MWL line.  The whole line gives you modern, basic loungewear that is nice enough to wear out.  And this batwing pale mauve sweatshirt is pretty fantastic also.  So if you need a few loungewear pieces that you feel good chilling in or heading out in, give this brand a try.

Could sweatshirts like this ever be styled appropriately for a casual business casual office (think the type of office where jeans + tshirt + blazer is normal for both men and women)? Or could you share some outfits with sweatshirts that can be styled that way?

    • Cat says:

One suggestion – Talbots MICROFLEECE FUNNEL NECK PULLOVER – currently lucky sizes only as on clearance but the black (XS, S, or M) looks like a legit sweater.

They carried it last year as well so perhaps it will be a seasonal restock!

Have you tried Lou& Grey’s sweatshirts at Loft? I’ve bought them for every mom, grandma and girlfriend in my life.

It’s allegedly spring. However, for every minute of sunshine, there seems to be an hour of rain and gloom. So while I’d love to wear lighter spring pieces, it’s time to bring on the layers.

Business Casual Outfit: Linen Closet

And just like that, it’s April. Summer is almost upon us, and the retailers are filled with linen wares. Now, you know that I am usually unwilling to wear linen to work due to the wrinkles. But in this post-pandemic world, perhaps my mind can change.
