Happy Hour: A Citrusy Mocktail

May 7, 2021

All I want right now are citrus flavors and bright colors.  Monochromatic neutrals have been on ordered for a few years, but after such a downer year, I want orange and red and pink.  I want citrus and strawberry and palm prints.  I want my wardrobe and my cocktails to burst with life.

Candace M. Read does a post called Mocktail Mondays.  This week’s was a Mandarin Orange and Peach Mimosa.  This would be perfect for a backyard hang or a baby shower.  You get all the joy of a Sunday morning boozy brunch without the booze.

Anthro is always awash in color and print.  This Maeve Belrose Dress is no exception.  It’s vibrant, pretty and also comes in plus-sizes.  And if pink isn’t the color for you, check out the verdant green color.

The best part?  Anthro is having an awesome Anthro Day sale.  Sign up for their free AnthroPerks and save 20%.

Other fab dresses include this this abstract print halter dress, which has a wonderful 70s SoCal vibe, and this beachy tunic dress that also comes in petite.

Business Casual Outfit: Linen Closet

And just like that, it’s April. Summer is almost upon us, and the retailers are filled with linen wares. Now, you know that I am usually unwilling to wear linen to work due to the wrinkles. But in this post-pandemic world, perhaps my mind can change.
