The Find: A Knit Blazer with Structure

Mar 31, 2021

Knit blazers are a lifesaver for those who have to work from home but still wear a jacket.  They’re comfortable like a cardigan, but professional like a jacket (esp. on camera).  This blazer from Ann Taylor has a more structured shape than most of the knit blazers on the market, which makes it a great choice for those who cannot get away without a jacket.

I love the softly structured look of this AT Knit Blazer.  The details — a buttoned cuff, a notched collar, a flat pocket — all make this blazer a bit cooler than your average knit jacket.  It’s also machine washable, so it’s perfect for those who are WFH.  And it’s available in sizes 0-18, also in petite.

If you like knit blazers but would prefer one that looks more relaxed, J.Crew’s Sophie blazer is a favorite.  It comes in several colors and is the perfect blend of a sweater and jacket.   I also like their longer, collarless Juliette jacket (runs a little large to size). Both are on discount right now.  Both are available in plus size.

It’s allegedly spring. However, for every minute of sunshine, there seems to be an hour of rain and gloom. So while I’d love to wear lighter spring pieces, it’s time to bring on the layers.

Business Casual Outfit: Linen Closet

And just like that, it’s April. Summer is almost upon us, and the retailers are filled with linen wares. Now, you know that I am usually unwilling to wear linen to work due to the wrinkles. But in this post-pandemic world, perhaps my mind can change.
