WFH Items: Pants That Aren’t Leggings

Apr 8, 2020

What day is it?  When was the last time that I washed these leggings?  It’s all a bit of a blur.

Frankly, I’m tired of wearing leggings, but it’s too cold here for dresses quite yet.  Jeans sound like a bit of torture right now.  But a loose, wide leg pant made of a comfortable fabric sounds like just the replacement that I’m looking for.

These wide leg, pull-on ponte pants from LOFT feel like slightly structured sweatpants (also in petite).  They fall at an ankle length, so they’re a more casual pant.  LOFT also makes a this pant in a non-ponte fabric.

Banana Republic also has a couple of pairs worth considering.  Their high-rise, wide-leg performance pant is worth a look.  They also make a slimmer style in an eco-friendly fabric called Tencel.

New York & Co. also has a pair of pull-on ponte pants that look just like a traditional work trouser.  They also come in tall sizes.

Plus-size?  These Lane Bryant ponte trousers and these T Tahari pants are worth a look.

It’s nice to see this. I’ve been a bit perplexed by everyone and their sweatpant work from home outfits. I understand wanting to get comfy for the long haul, but sweats/leggings/jammies every.single.day. leads to me feeling grumpy and worse about everything in general.

I bought these Loft pants and can confirm–they’re awesome.

I’ve been wearing these Trekkie Hike pants from Athleta a lot lately. They’re super comfortable, have some stretch, full length (important for me and my body shape) and have been one of my go-tos while working from home.

I’ve been living in Old Navy’s linen pants throughout Safer At Home. Breezy, comfy, they feel like pajama pants while being slightly more put together. On chilly days, I’ll pretend to be New England coastal and wear a turtleneck or sweater.

A few months ago, my husband killed two of my plants. I was out of town for several weeks, and while I was away, he apparently forgot that plants need water to live. So when I returned, my snake plant and my Calamondin tree were both dead, while his braided money tree continued to thrive. […]

It’s allegedly spring. However, for every minute of sunshine, there seems to be an hour of rain and gloom. So while I’d love to wear lighter spring pieces, it’s time to bring on the layers.
