My 10 Best Purchases: No. Eight

Oct 24, 2018

Sometimes, all you need is a really great t-shirt.  You know, the one that goes with anything.

I was so excited when I saw this Ann Taylor t-shirt was still on sale.  I bought mine last year, and I thought for sure that I’d be looking for something similar as a replacement.  But then, there it was.

This Shirttail Tunic ($29) is one of my favorite things.  I’m long-torsoed so finding a t-shirt that’s long enough is a challenge.  This tee is soft, comfortable, and has good opacity.  It also wears well.

Now that I know it’s on sale again, I plan to buy a few more.  You can never have too many of a good basic.

Plus-size?  This LOFT tee is similar.  If you’d like more options in this hemline, LOFT has several as does Lou & Grey.

Please more for us long torso top needing people! I dont have a particularly long torso, but my bust makes regular length shirts super short!

    • Midwest Gal says:

Yes! A whole blog post on how to dress when you have a long torso and best places to shop would be helpful. (There are so many places, like J. Crew, that I can’t even shop.)

    • anna says:

Haha, I don’t have a long torso or a big bust, but I have wide-ish hips and shorter shirts make them look wider. I think the lesson is, “the people need longer shirts!!!”

    • Annie says:

Yes please to long torso resources! All I want in the world are longer length tops that cover the booty in leggings but don’t become Large Fabric Tents of Sadness.

  2. Meghan says:

Belle, I love you (and this series!), but just FYI you also posted an item #7 yesterday 🙂 (no judgment!!!)

Can I suggest that you also do a “best purchases” series for skincare/makeup to the extent that you weren’t planning on including those categories in this series? I am loving it!

  3. JIll says:

Love the shirt. The shirt tail detail is so pretty. Also long-torsoed here. Ironically, Ann Taylor clothing is often too short-waisted for me.

  4. Kay says:

I bought a navy one of these years ago on your recommendation and it is a workhorse in my wardrobe. These longer ones look great.

Saw It On Social: Rooted

A few months ago, my husband killed two of my plants. I was out of town for several weeks, and while I was away, he apparently forgot that plants need water to live. So when I returned, my snake plant and my Calamondin tree were both dead, while his braided money tree continued to thrive. […]
