Happy Hour: Pear and Ginger Cocktail

Oct 27, 2017

It may be the end of October, but I am still not ready for hot cocktails.  This Maker’s Ginger and Pear cocktail from Kitchen Serendipity is the perfect compromise.  The bourbon and pear are perfect for fall, and the Ginger Ale gives it a light, refreshing flavor.

Like a cold fall cocktail, lace doesn’t feel like a fall texture but it is.  Pairing lace tops like this Sea Lace Peplum Blouse ($355) with chunky knits is a chic, modern look.  You can also wear them under a herringbone or velvet blazer.

If you’re looking for a more affordable blouse, this Mango ruffled lace top ($69) has a nice mix of textures.  This New Day blouse ($20) has an interesting diamond pattern.  My favorite top I’ve seen is this $22 option from SheIn.  I ordered one thing from them a few months ago; I recommend sizing up.  Plus-size?  Try this very cute Eloquii blouse.

Business Casual Outfit: Linen Closet

And just like that, it’s April. Summer is almost upon us, and the retailers are filled with linen wares. Now, you know that I am usually unwilling to wear linen to work due to the wrinkles. But in this post-pandemic world, perhaps my mind can change.
