As I mentioned a few weeks ago, I’m teaching myself Photoshop. It’s a necessary change to improve the content of this blog, but, boy, is it a challenge. I am prepping a second post for today, but it’s not ready yet. It will go up just as soon as I tame the Photoshop beast.

8) Eugenia Kim’s ‘message’ beach hats are all the rage. This Etsy shop gives you a custom hat for a much more reasonable price.

What’s upsetting to me about link number 5 is that the lesson here appears to be that if you are discriminated against, your solution should be to just find another job. I’m glad it worked out for the writer, but it seems to have given her old boss an easy way out. She may not have fired her, but she did take away her job duties and essentially force her out. It’s been a long time since I took employment law, but shouldn’t there have been some legal ramifications there?
I wonder if she knows she was being discriminated against illegally. At that age, I don’t think I would have known.
Atta girl! Photoshop is a beast! I learned to make a grid template for my blog and now all I have to do is put pictures in the right layer. Remembering how it all works is the hardest part.
Are you learning as you go, or are you following an online course? I have a license for the software, but I’m awful with it and don’t really know where to begin beyond fumbling through it.
I was actually wondering the same question!
I’ve been teaching myself. I find a collage or other image I like on Pinterest or another blog and then try to recreate it. If I get stuck, I Google how to d something. There are a lot of helpful videos on YouTube. I’ve also been told Lynda and Skillshare have classes, but I’m not there yet.
Hey Belle- I bought a pair of gold metallic shoes in a relatively conservative style- the cole haan emory pump, in a 4 inch heel. The gold color makes them too flashy for most office days, and the conservative style makes them too staid for fun/parties. How would you style shoes like this?
jeans and fun tops on the weekends. brunch. basically, I would use them to spruce up casual outfits.
