1) In this small, Dutch village, citizens adopt the grave of a fallen American soldier from WWII and honor their lives as a gesture of “comfort” to their liberators.

2) This $50 Aldo bag comes in a variety of neutral colors, but the dark turquoise is my favorite.  Also, the bag has surprisingly good storage with several pockets and dividers.

3) Inc.com covers the 13 women changing what it means to dress for success.

4) This Hugo Boss Jenada business suit in shades of blue and black is just fantastic.  I also like the shape of the jacket on this less-expensive Tahari ASL suit.

5) This video from Lifehacker teaches you the six key principles of persuasion.  Because who doesn’t need to know how to convince other people to do what they want?

6) The best place to find affordable shoes is 6pm.com.  These $39 peep-toe wedges are great for relaxed work days.  These Stuart Weitzman Platswoon pumps are on deep discount.  And don’t miss these $29 lace-up, high-heel sandals for when you want to go out on the town.

7) 21 Genius Hacks for Fixing Ruined Clothes.

8) This WHBM pleated maxi-skirt is to die for.  And don’t miss this cap-sleeve, v-neck dress in a bright pinky-red.

9) Since when did early-80s babies become “millennials”?  Pop sugar covers a few things only those of us on the cusp of Gen-X will understand.

10) Oh, to live in a world where Roland Mouret could design your whole wardrobe.  I mean, look at the sculptural elements on this gorgeous blackberry-colored sheath.

Oh, wow. My great uncle is buried at Margraten. I am touched to know that someone I’ve never met looks after his grave. Thank you for bringing this to my attention, I will share with the family.

  2. Mary says:

    That Roland Mouret dress.

And what a sweet story about Margraten.

  3. Pancakes says:

#1: What a really nice thing to do. Thanks for sharing.

#9: As a late ’80s child, 99% of that article applies to me and even everyone who was born up to 1988, at least. It’s not just early ’80s adults.
