Piperlime Lace Grid Tee ($79)

Left, Kate Spade Studs ($38) // Kors Selma Satchel ($358) // Calvin Klein Gayle Pump ($99) // Tilly Cardigan ($80) // Boden Emilie Skirt ($138)

Right, KJL Cuff Bracelet ($90) // Dorothy Perkins Purple Clutch ($11) // Kors Kristen Sandal ($135) // Hellessy Skirt ($385)

For the Office.  To avoid looking to matchy-matchy when you wear the same hue, incorporating different textures.  This look blends a simple cardigan with a lace tee for a bit of something extra.  If you prefer to mix in a different color, try this grape-colored cardigan from Halogen for a bit of contrast.

I chose this navy skirt from Boden because I like the wider waistband.  This ensemble would also look great with navy a-line skirt.  You could also mix in a grey skirt instead.  Plus-size? This Jones New York pencil is a great skirt.

These dark purple earrings complement the pale purple separates.  I added the grey satchel and pumps to keep with the neutral palette.  Need a cheaper bag?  Try this $37 flap satchel from The Limited.

For the hair, I would style it half-up, half-down with a chic clip.  For the makeup, I would keep it neutral with a hint of berry gloss on the lips.

For Dinner. If you want to mix in color but aren’t a fan of pastels, I recommend blending in a jewel tone.  It’s a great way to wear fall colors like emerald, burgundy, and teal into the spring season.  This skirt is a bit pricey, but this ASOS skirt in green is much more affordable.  Plus-size? Try these burgundy trousers from Worthington.

I love cuff bracelets, and this one gives you a bold look without looking heavy.  I also like this under-$25 geometric cuff from Athena Traders.

The purple clutch give you a contrasting color that pulls the look together.  I also love these basic sandals in a mid-heel height.  They’re the kind of versatile shoe that you can wear to all your spring/summer events.  These Forever21 sandals are an affordable alternative.

For the hair, I would put it in a braided or twisted updo.  For the makeup, I like a purple smokey eye.  Sephora’s blueberry muffin eyeshadow.

This may seem like a stupid question, but would you tuck the first look. I have so much trouble with boxy blouses because I can never make the tuck not look weird. Suggestions?

It’s a straight hem, so I wouldn’t tuck. I’d probably have it tailored (depending on cost) to be a little less boxy.
