Container Store Valet Tray ($10)

When I walk through the door at the end of the day, my keys, Metro card and other essentials are strewn about my kitchen island.  This makes finding things the next morning a challenge.  Recently, I bought a leather valet tray, similar to the one above, and it has made that hasty morning exit much easier.

This inexpensive fabric tray is a great stocking stuffer for co-workers, men with pockets full of stuff and women who never seem to know where their keys are.  If you have a bit more to spend, consider a leather tray instead.  Want to personalize your gift?  Try these monogrammed catchalls from Mark & Graham that come in different sizes.

Also, if your recipient has trouble keeping track of her every day jewelry, try a trinket dish.  I own this ceramic bird ring holder from World Market, and I love it.  This giraffe dish from Anthropologie also caught my eye.

Saw It On Social: Rooted

A few months ago, my husband killed two of my plants. I was out of town for several weeks, and while I was away, he apparently forgot that plants need water to live. So when I returned, my snake plant and my Calamondin tree were both dead, while his braided money tree continued to thrive. […]
