Pearlized Sleeve Sweater ($60) // Textured Space Dye Jacket ($60) // Necklace Stripe Tee ($50)
If you are a misses or petite size, there are some really gorgeous tops on sale at LOFT right now. The three above are some of my favorites.
Tasteful embellishments add a little something extra to a cozy sweater, but they don’t have to be jewels or sequins. This ivory sweater has a chevron stitch and a beautiful embroidered yoke. This black sweater has a short, lace sleeve that would be perfect for holiday parties. Plus-size? It’s not from LOFT, but I did find this Jessica Simpson sweater with sequin sleeves.
I love this space-dyed texture sweater jacket. Not sure I would pair it with the matching sweater, but I like it nonetheless. This open-knit marled sweater time in black and white is a great basic. Looking for texture, but not draping? I also adore this 3/4 sleeve cable sweater with multiple textures of cable.
I like a trompe l’oeil print on t-shirts. This stripe pattern made with necklaces is lovely, as is this tee with the necklace on the yoke. I couldn’t find a necklace tee in plus-size, but I like this t-shirt with lace print on the collar.
I’ve said this before, but I really must note: The quality of Loft items leaves a lot to be desired. What I’ve purchased has only gotten a handfull of wears — at most. Also, their sweaters are almost always super itchy.
I’ve had fairly good luck with their dresses, and I own a couple of blouses that I like. I usually turn the garments inside out to look at the seams and see how sheer the fabric is. I’ve even asked my tailor to shore up the hems on a couple of things so they would last longer. The quality isn’t epic by any means, but for $60 + 40% off, I’m only expecting H&M quality.
I think that’s fair.
i like their leggings, but their other clothes (except their pencil skirts, which are the bomb) are not as great, IMHO
but somehow they always have 21123123123 space dyed items and i generally want to buy them all.
I guess it all depends but I have never had any issues with items I buy from the Loft. I do tend to wash on gentle and hang dry but I do that for all items regardless of where I buy them in order for them to last longer.
I have to say, all my recent purchases have been great buys.
I always use the cold, gentle cycle for blouses and sweaters. And I always hang dry my delicates. And yet, Loft clothes always fall apart.
I can attest that the space-dyed sweater jacket is totally gorgeous on the hanger, but felt completely strange and ITCHY when I tried it on. The sleeves begin too far down the shoulder and pull on the back of the arm. I was super sad because it is seriously pretty for LOFT.
