This fall, I’m looking to up my shoe game.  Since three of my four favorite pairs of shoes came from Nordstrom, I decided to start my search there.  And boy, am I glad that I did.

Leopard.  I have a pair of Kate Spade leopard pumps, but they’re not comfortable.  The seaming inside really pinches (sigh).  So I’m in the market for a new pair.  I like the balanced look of these Enzo pumps.  They’re cool, but not too fashion forward.  If you wear more brown than black, check out these d’orsay Sam Edelman pumps in leopard and cognac.  Need something under-$50?  Try these Steve Madden pumps from Amazon with a small spotted print.

Modern Mary Janes.  I posted some Mary Jane pumps awhile back and there wasn’t much excitement about the trend.  I think these Charles David’s are a more modern take on the style.   They also come in a phenomenal lipstick red and basic black.  I also like these Ivanka Trump Leea pumps.

Toe Cap Flats.  These shoes strike me as that basic, yet stylish pair that are so comfortable that you wear them until the soles fall off.  And couldn’t we all use a pair like that?  Looking for a more structured pair that are perfect for the office?  Check out these Rebecca Minkoff Irma flats, they’re fantastic.

Colored Pumps.  Fuchsia isn’t a color that I usually gravitate toward during the fall, but the metal details on this pair make them a winner.  If you’re looking for a traditional fall shade, try this green shade from Topshop or this burgundy Kurt Geiger pump.  And if you really want to set it off, this Carolinna Espinosa pump mixes teal and purple.

Evening Pumps.  Have a fall wedding or formal event?  I adore these platinum pumps with a bow front (I know, I was surprised too) quite a bit.  I also dig these pewter Badgley Mischka pumps with a chiffon front.

And the best part?  I found all these great options, and I haven’t even started shopping for boots yet.  It’s like Christmas in August.

Saw It On Social: Rooted

A few months ago, my husband killed two of my plants. I was out of town for several weeks, and while I was away, he apparently forgot that plants need water to live. So when I returned, my snake plant and my Calamondin tree were both dead, while his braided money tree continued to thrive. […]
