Eyelet Zig Zag Dress ($89)

Summer has arrived in D.C. in the form of a heat wave.  Luckily, this dress is perfect for being outdoors.  100-percent cotton, machine washable, with the cutest eyelet pattern and a cut-out back.  Lovesit.

I’m also a huge fan of this striped shift and this black high-neck halter.  This boatneck t-shirt dress is perfect for lazy days.  And I still love the cut of this jersey maxi, it would be perfect for the airplane.

I’m still all about the white dress for summer.  This breezy cotton dress is really sweet.  This dress has a fuller skirt and a sleek fitted bodice.  But this long cotton dress from Quiksilver has great style to it.

Petite:  The zig-zag dress comes in petites, and so does this eyelet dress.  This slub dress is orange-coral is also pretty cute.

Plus-size:  I adore this printed short sleeve dress.  I also like this high-neck halter with a palm frond print, and this striped t-shirt dress is a good basic.
