I was able to purchase a Barbour waxed cotton jacket for my birthday last year and it was so worth the money. I know they aren’t in everyone’s budget, but if you can afford the splurge, then I would recommend it. It’s a jacket I will have for decades and hopefully pass down to my daughter. Even my dad commented on the jacket’s quality and longevity.
I agree wholeheartedly on the quality and longevity. My Barbour jacket is one of my favorite pieces (though my budget only allowed for a second-hand one from Poshmark).
I’ve had my Barbour beadnell wax jacket for over 15 years and I feel like it’s only gotten better with age. I rewaxed it a couple years ago, which was surprisingly easy to do, but you can also send it to Barbour and have them do it for you (they also do repairs).
Any advice on styling these would be appreciated. I bought the LL bean one a couple weeks ago and am trying to figure out what the vibe is
I second this! I just ordered the LL bean one in dark khaki and would love to figure out how to style it in a chic way
I have a green suede one from Talbots from ages ago. Guess it’s back in style. 🙂
