The Find: An Olive Striped Shirt

Jun 18, 2024

As you may have noticed, I do not have the most creative personal style. I am here for basics. But what I’m always looking for is basic-but, a piece of clothing that is basic but just a little different.

Few pieces of clothing are as approachable as a striped button up.  The cut is classic, the style is simple, and there are no rough edges.  But this one from Chico’s gives you all the wearability with a little something extra, an olive stripe.  Not black, not blue, olive.

Will it be wow’ing on the runway and eliciting gasps from Vogue readers?  No.  That’s not what we do here at Capitol Hill Style.  But what it will be doing is looking chic every time you pull it from your closet.

Need to style it?  See the subsequent post.

The shirt is also no iron, which is critical.  Sizes run 0-22, and Chico’s runs a hair large.  So make sure to check the size guide, and if you’re in between sizes, size down.
