The Range: Denim Jackets

Mar 6, 2023

A denim jacket is a staple piece for any wardrobe.  You can layer it over business separates to make the tone more casual.  You can wear it over a pretty spring dress to give it a bit more edge.  Or you can toss it on over workout wear to finish off the look.  So here are a few denim jackets in different price points to get you ready for spring.

Corner Office

Paige Rowan Denim Jacket ($199)

Cubicle Farm

Kut from the Kloth Denim Trucker Jacket ($94)

Front Desk

Old Navy Denim Jacket ($45)

Plus-Size

Lola Jeans Denim Jacket ($95)

*I don’t know why this retailer has a photo of a straight size model on a plus-size piece, but this was the nicest style I found that came in 1x-3x sizes.

Would you do an outfit post around the “layer over business separates” idea? I love this concept but I’m having trouble picturing it!

I did this – I layered the jean jacket over a cream sleveless shell and olive green work pants with leopard print flats and red lipstick for a nice dinner our with girlfriends. I’ve used similar formulas in the summer on Fridays to dress down my work outfit while still providing warmth (and wearing a jacket), or tossed it on over a flowy dress. It’s a nice add in an office where jeans aren’t a thing.

ABLE makes the best jean jacket I’ve ever worn. It’s the only one I actually find comfortable and non-restricting. Comes in several cuts and colors. Here’s the one I have: https://www.ableclothing.com/products/merly-jacket

Beauty Review: Bondi Boost

As I age, I notice many changes in my body. Most are fine. Some are frustrating. Like many women, I lost a lot of hair in my postpartum phase. Being anemic for more than a year after, it didn’t grow back in to its former glory. So I’ve tried any number of shampoos, pills and […]

The Find: Shirts That Don’t Gape

I remember when Rochelle Behrens launched The Shirt — a button-down blouse with anti-gape technology (a patented internal button that keeps the look smooth). The idea seemed brilliant, but at the time, my bust didn’t require an extra button. One baby later, I understand the need for some extra security.
