Your Guide to Early Cyber-Week Sales

Nov 21, 2022

When it comes to Cyber Week sales, I live by one rule: If you wouldn’t buy it at full-price, you don’t need to buy it just because it’s on sale.  Who among us has not bought a jacket or a dress or a pair of earring simple because they were 70-percent off, then gotten them home and wondered why?  So this year’s Cyber Week postings will be relegated solely to  retailers that I shop at regularly and items that I would buy myself.

J.Crew. The staple of many a working woman’s wardrobe is offering 50-percent off with code SHOPEARLY.

My Picks // Suiting — particularly this off-white blazer and wide leg pants // A modern twinset // Sleek winter boots

Best Gift Pick // These leather touch-screen gloves make a great gift.

Mejuri. My favorite demi-fine jewelry brand is offering 20-percent off if you sign up for the e-mail list.

My Picks // A diamond letter charm // A boyfriend chain bracelet // A pair of beaded hoops

Best Gift Pick // I wear their thin dome ring every day; it fits any style.

Sarah Flint. $100 off two pair of shoes, $225 of three pair — in case you haven’t bought new shoes since pre-COVID.

My Picks // The Natalie bow flat // The Parker dotted pump // The Perfect Pump (in any height, but I like 50mm)

Jenni Kayne. The Influencer Favorite is 25-percent off site wide, no code needed.

My Picks // JK has lots of great knits, but I am solely here for the Alpaca Cocoon Cardigan.

Best Gift Pick // This cashmere shawl is a nice splurge for grandma, your MIL, or your hard to shop for sister.

Ann Taylor. Finish out your winter work wardrobe with 40-percent off with code BRIGHT.

My Picks // Ruffle Neck Shirt // The Best Pants Ever // This Lady-like Coat

Best Gift Pick // So many good pajamas — love the animal-print pjs.

Additionally, there are a few “Easter Egg” sales that you’ll have to hunt through to find the best stuff.  The three that are worth your time are Nordstrom Rack // Bloomingdale’s ($25 of $100 spent) // Macy’s (good for housewares and specialty sizes).

Shutterfly usually does a cyber weekend sale – 40-50% off holiday cards, photo books etc.

  2. Michelle says:

Adidas’ black friday is sale is open to members only until today, you just need to sign up for a free account. Good deals on everything. Their maternity line is ok, but I prefer Nike’s maternity line so I didn’t buy duplicates of my of Adidas clothing.

Nike’s sale going on now isn’t quite as good as Adidas’ but there’s good deals still.

  3. E says:

Neutrogena had 50% off for “VIP customers” (I think anyone who has an account?). Stocked up on my favorite powder foundation, evening moisturizer and face wash.

Tommy John was offering 30% off everything – my husband’s favorite boxers so stocking stuffer checked.

  4. BicoasTing says:

Anthro is doing 30% off home items now and will be doing 30% off most full-priced items on Black Friday.
Madewell is doing 40% off everything right now; I bought a ribbed turtleneck in a lovely espresso color.

  5. theLOOP says:

32 Degrees has a 70-80% off sitewide sale. Their packable winter jackets and vests are great if you want to keep extras on hand or in your car.

The Range: Spring Blouses for Work (or Zoom)

Since Sloane was born, I’ve fallen hard into a black, white, and blue wardrobe. This is not necessarily a bad thing, but as spring blooms, I need a little color in my wardrobe (and probably a little print too). Here are a few tops that caught my eye for work.

The Find: My Best Workout Shorts

For eight years, I have worn the same workout shorts. Every year, an influencer tries to sell me new shorts. I order them. I try them on. They pale in comparison to the shorts I already own. I return them.
