Holiday Gift Guides 2022: Five Early-Bird Gifts Under-$100

Oct 25, 2022

Want to finish your holiday shopping early?  Me too.  So here are a few gift ideas for the ladies in your life that cost less than $100 but pack a much bigger punch.

This Gucci Lipstick Trio is the perfect luxury gift for your cool best friend, your stylish sister, or anyone woman who deserves a useful and impressive gift.  The three shades include my favorite lipstick, their sheer stick (left) in Call It a Day.  I’ve also tried the Goldie Red  (middle), and it’s a great red that looks good on many people.

Need a luxurious gift for less?  Don’t miss the miraculous Dior Creme Abricot cuticle cream, the gift that keeps on giving.  Order it through the Dior website to have it gift wrapped, making it extra special.

This battery powered Bar Open light is one of my favorite Etsy purchases.  I bought it for our new bar, and it adds a little something extra to any “shelfie.”  The seller also makes custom signs and signs with the recipient’s name.

Love making Christmas cookies, but hate cutting them out one at a time?  This multi-cookie cutter in Christmas shapes speeds up the process by allowing you to cut out more than a dozen cookies at once.  Anthro also sells a mutli-cookie cutter for Gingerbread Men.

Williams Sonoma also offers Kransekake cookie cutter that lets you build a cookie tree, and a rolling cookie cutter that speeds up the cookie cutting process.

If you’re tired of searching for a bag that gives you style and organization, give up the search with Tote Savvy.  Their Deluxe Organizer can be added to any bag based on size to give you the storage pockets you need to corral your daily must-haves.  You can also purchased their diaper bag insert to turn any bag you love into a diaper bag.

This Ultrasonic Cleaner from Soap is a great gift for someone who loves jewelry.  The ultrasonic vibrations will clean so many things (including your retainer) to a sparkling shine, but I use it to give my rings and things a scrub without damaging them.  Also, it’s kind of fun to watch as all the gunk and grime you can’t see is shaken loose from the jewelry you wear every day.

Abra, could you give us more insight on the ultrasonic cleaner? It looks fantastic- and I’d love to keep my jewelry’s cleaner – but I’m nervous about putting expensive rings in something that I’ve never tried and don’t know how works. Is there any risk of damage? Just positive reviews from you?

    • Lucy says:

Hi! While I haven’t used this item specifically, my mother is a jeweler and the professional-grade cleaners that jewelers use in-house are basically industrial sized versions of this (I’ve seen them in action – they’re intense). So I think it should be fine.

    • Belle says:

It basically shakes the grime of the jewelry with vibrations. Sort of like an expensive electric toothbrush. I don’t think it would damage the jewelry, unless, perhaps, you were using it excessively.

Love this post! Please continue to do these. I reference them both for the holiday season and birthdays.

Sloane loves the pool. She jumps from the deck into the water with a crash, never considering her own safety, only to emerge on the surface, shouting “Again!” The pool is my daughter’s happy place. But no place where I need to wear a swimsuit in public is a happy one for me.

The Mondays: July 22, 2024

The Crowdstrike/Microsoft Meltdown forced me to take a few days off this weekend. No laptop. No billable hours. So we packed Sloane up for a visit to a local llama farm, stopped by the pool, went for coffee, etc. Few things are as funny as watching a 23-month old feed carrots to a ravenous rescue […]
