The Range: Mother’s Day Gifts Under-$200

May 2, 2022

Still need a gift for Mother’s Day?  Here are a few great choices that will brighten her day, all under-$200, most under-$100.  (Or if you just need a great gift to give to yourself because you deserve it, don’t miss these picks.)

This two-tone linked necklace from Mejuri is fantastic.  The look is sophisticated, simple and perfect for tying together your white and yellow gold pieces.  It’s a spectacular gift.

I have a Calamondin tree from Via Citrus sitting on my kitchen counter.  It’s currently blooming with both delicate, white flowers (that smell like orange blossom) and little fruits.  It can’t be that difficult to care for because plants usually cower with fear in my presence, but this one is miraculously alive.  They also offer Key Lime plants.

Need a gym bag, beach bag or work bag?  This Vida Tote from Dagne Dover is the pick.  (Small and large are available in black and white at Nordstrom for easy returns.)  In neutral or this rusty orange, the bag has all the storage and space you need without being too big.  Pockets galore let you keep your essentials always at the ready.  Oh, and did I mention it’s machine washable?

If your Mom loves a chilled bottle of rose on a summer evening, this Vinglace Bottle Chiller with optional glasses keeps your wine at the perfect temperature.  Enjoy patio drinks and picnics in the park with a glass of your favorite wine without rushing to finish the bottle before it gets too warm.

I am not an acolyte of Barefoot Dreams, but I love the look of this CozyChic cardigan.  The knit print and the pale taupe color make it a versatile, stylish choice.  Looking for something a less expensive?  Ugg makes a similar style of circle cardigan in sizes XS to 3X.

Ice reduces inflammation and depuffs the face.  And while I love my ice roller, it’s hard to make the time.  This ice mask from Charlotte Tilbury Cryo-Recovery Mask solves that issue.  Toss it into the freezer 30-minutes before you want to use it, then wear it for 10-minutes.  Your face will thank you.

Consumables are a great gift for relatives who are hard to shop for or older relatives who don’t need anything else they need to store.  Frog Hollow ships some of the most amazing fruit, and their mixed fruit box is one of their best products.  I like getting fruit boxes because I can eat some fresh, give some away, or bake it into muffins and tarts.

What are your best suggestions for last minute Mother’s Day gifts?  Leave them in the comments.

Thanks for the introduction to Frog Hollow. I’m a big fan of gifting consumables and always looking for other options!

I’m also not a Barefoot Dreams superfan, but I will say that their cardigans were a “must have” for me during the early postpartum days. I had two and always kept them at the ready for unexpected guests. They truly do very comfortably elevate a tank and leggings which is what I was often wearing during those early days at home while constantly nursing (or pumping).

I was coming here to say the same thing! Also not a barefoot dreams superfan but I had a winter baby and I LIVED in my circle cardi during my fourth trimester. So cozy, the open style makes it perfect for nursing, and with leggings and a tank, it looks polished for visitors.

Also, my kid was a champion spitter upper and my cardigan has held up nicely to frequent washing. It’s my go-to special gift for new moms now.

The Vinglace is the perfect gift for a friend! Thanks for the tip!

The Range: Spring Blouses for Work (or Zoom)

Since Sloane was born, I’ve fallen hard into a black, white, and blue wardrobe. This is not necessarily a bad thing, but as spring blooms, I need a little color in my wardrobe (and probably a little print too). Here are a few tops that caught my eye for work.

Too Many Tabs: April 19, 2024

This week, I fell mindlessly into my phone more than I think I ever have. My screen time went from 3.5 hours per day to 5 hours per day. But the increased eye strain did lead to some good finds. Just going to leave this right here.  (I really need to work on “Didn’t make […]
