The Beauty Range: My Favorite Under-Eye Concealer

Feb 11, 2022

Most of the under-eye concealers I’ve tried couldn’t hide my circles on a well-rested day.  But this concealer is light, buildable, and brightens while it conceals.  And did I mention it’s only $10?

Makeup Revolution’s Eye Bright Concealer comes in eight skin tones.  I like that the formulation is light and doesn’t crease.  It goes on smooth and creamy.

I find it works best if use Bobbi Brown’s peachy-pink corrector under the concealer (I wear Bisque).  And don’t forget to set it with a finely milled setting powder.

I’ll give the Makeup Revolution concealer a try! I’ve been using the Bobbi Brown concealer in bisque (based on your rec) with my old standby, Maybelline Age Rewind. I tried Shape Tape for a bit, but I always go back to the Age Rewind and Bobbi Brown. I may try the powder as well. Thanks!

How do you figure out the right shade for your skin? I have horrible flashbacks to my teen years when my concealer was wayyyy too light (I looked like a racoon more often than not…) Do you go to a sephora artist for help? I’ve had hit or miss luck with them 🙁

I’ve been wearing the same one for years (it’s the best). But they don’t make it anymore. So here are some options for replacement.

The Find: Like a McCall’s Pattern

When I was young, my Mother used to bring me along when she would go shopping for fabric. As a result, I spent a lot of time, killing time, flipping through pattern books. So when I spotted this dress, I was instantly transported to the pattern table at a Jo-Ann Fabrics.
