Kites rise highest against the wind – not with it. // Winston Churchill

I read that Dylatov pass article last night after seeing a tweet on how Disney’s Frozen played a role, lol. So interesting!

  2. Ral says:

There’s no much coverage on how the current times are harming women financially, professionally, psychologically. So disturbing. I’m all for awareness – don’t get me wrong – but what I really want to know is what our country, employers and society are going to do about it.

    • E says:

Thanks for framing the issue as one that’s bigger than employers. It’s a nationwide issue that demands nationwide solutions. Shifting the onus to employers just creates extra strain on childless workers to pick up the slack for those that have shouldered the unenviable burden of supervising homeschool during this pandemic. I think it’s time for us to start thinking about some sort of national childcare system or aid, instead of forcing families to piecemeal whatever help they can cobble together. I also don’t think forcing employers to provide this child care is a great solution, since we’ve tried that with healthcare with bad results.

  3. Jenn S. says:

What’s your take on the upset regarding Kamala wearing Dolce & Gabbana – In particular, people calling on her to make a statement about it?

While I agree that her team would be better suited to avoid the brand for a whole host of reasons – but I simultaneously think the demands that Madam Vice President *make a statement* about her wardrobe are beyond ridiculous.

Were we critiquing Pence’s blazers this way?

  4. Pam says:

Those treasure and bond shirts are wonderful!!! SO soft, I bought white and black. I see now there is a blue. 🙂

  5. Stefanie S. says:

The Target Moonlight Pajama dupes don’t hold up as well – they pill very quickly and become incredibly scratchy after a few washes. Stick with the Target flannel PJs, which hold up better IMO.

    • Cait says:

Was just about to post a comment saying this exact thing! I have 1 year old Moonlight PJs and 6 month old Target dupes. Baby them both- cold wash, hang dry. Both worn and washed with the same frequency. Moonlight ones are still silky soft with just a tiny bit of pilling starting to show between the thighs. Target ones are so pilled and rough that I dread when they come up in the pajama rotation. I love Target dupes of most things, but this is not one of them! Not even good pajamas on their own merit even without comparing to the Moonlight ones.

  6. Rachel says:

I have that “softest” sweatshirt ever in the turtleneck form and was extolling praise for it to my friends. Its so comfy, especially for WFH and you can layer underneath for extra warmth during a N’oreaster.

  7. Rachel says:

Are there really people out there who eat half of an avocado and don’t eat the other half for WEEKS??

    • e says:

LOL. On the rare occasion I don’t finish a whole avocado in one sitting, I find using saran wrap that touches the fleshy cut part completely keeps it fresh for a few days. Just have to scoop the brown top layer off, if one has formed.

  8. Kat says:

Maybe it’s just me but every time you link something to &other stories it goes to the home page and not the actual item and it’s really hard to find. Odd because that doesn’t happen with other retailers you link to.

The Find: Shirts That Don’t Gape

I remember when Rochelle Behrens launched The Shirt — a button-down blouse with anti-gape technology (a patented internal button that keeps the look smooth). The idea seemed brilliant, but at the time, my bust didn’t require an extra button. One baby later, I understand the need for some extra security.
