Oh my gosh, that banana pudding! Also, I loved the article you shared about resolutions that might actually make us happier, like forgiveness and gratitude over fitness or dieting. While I think a fitness goal done right is a good thing (do a pullup, run faster, ie a measurable goal to work towards) I’m glad to see more articles calling out the January marketing to those blanket fitness / appearance based goals. It’s almost as bad as the “beach body” marketing come Spring.

The article on toxic personalities is spot on! I saved it to re-read for a toxic work relationship I am struggling with.

Thanks for sharing the article on miscarriage—I am child free by choice but had an employee experience a miscarriage once. I was able to get additional leave approved for her with some research and conferring with our HR manager, but it took poking at HR to get it done. So, if an employee of yours has a similar tragedy, please dig in a bit to see what leave help you can give. Instead of five days, we were able to get the equivalent of maternity leave as I recall, and the employee could return when she was ready to do so. I do think there were some qualifiers on it, like how far along the pregnancy was. YMMV but it never hurts to advocate for more than the standard.

This week, I fell mindlessly into my phone more than I think I ever have. My screen time went from 3.5 hours per day to 5 hours per day. But the increased eye strain did lead to some good finds. Just going to leave this right here.  (I really need to work on “Didn’t make […]

The Find: A Striped Tee

Without question, the most worn item in my wardrobe is a black-and-white striped tee. I wear it in winter under sweaters, in spring with white jeans, in summer with black shorts. I’ve been wearing the same one for years (it’s the best). But they don’t make it anymore. So here are some options for replacement.
