Work Week: Belted Blazers

Nov 4, 2020

Belted blazers are impactful but easy.  Have a sheath dress you’ve worn 100x?  Freshen it up with a belted blazer.  Need something to lift a t-shirt and jeans?  A belted blazer looks fashion forward.  Here are a few in different price points.

I like belted items, but not sure I prefer the tie-style belt, versus a buckle style. I think that belted styles risk looking like bathrobes. The tailoring has to be sufficiently structured to avoid looking sloppy. Perhaps the right accessories can also help professionalize the look.

Popped in to share a similar sentiment. These are lovely pieces (I especially like the Ann Taylor one), but I think I would prefer them for casual settings because I get a bit of a robe vibe from them.

In my office, I’d be asked why I was wearing half of a robe.
