I usually don’t promote Prime Day, but this year, I found a few things that are worth sharing. Things to make the every day a little easier, and a little better.
I bought my Instant Pot a few years ago, and I still use it regularly. It’s great for soups and stews. But my favorite recipe to make in my Instapot is the most delicious rice side dish you will ever eat.
This Phillips Smart Sleep alarm clock has two important functions. First, you won’t use your phone as your alarm, which is good for your mental health. Second, the light function wakes you up gently to give you a soothing start to your day.
These Calvin Klein Invisible Bralettes are pretty great. Comfortable, supportive, no uni-boob like so many bralettes. 12 colors, sizes up to 2x.
Acne dots are a great way to treat an individual blemish, but they do nothing for a patch of acne. So if you’re suffering from a breakout, these large Rael Miracle Patches are going to be your saving grace.
Ray-Bans are my favorite sunglasses. So many styles, well-made, not so expensive that you’ll be mad if they break or get lost. All styles are 20%-off for Prime Day, even my fave, aviators.
I have two pairs of these cotton-flannel Stone & Beam sheets. They are cozy and wonderful. I also love their cotton sateen sheets.
These gold under-eye patches will make it look like you got seven hours of sleep when you only got four. They soothe and depuff like a dream.

You can shop prime day through Amazon Smile! That way at least a portion of your shopping can benefit the nonprofit org of our choice.
I just need to say that we should be going out of our way to surf traffic away from Amazon and Bezos. The man has capitalized off of a global pandemic and made his working environment even more toxic and harmful than it already was. Boycott Amazon!
I’m not going to censor comments, but if you want to advocate boycotts of brands, I would appreciate a link to your justification as to why. This is not Facebook.
You’re not going to censor but you won’t let my comment through moderation? ????
I have no pending comments. If you’d like to resubmit, please do. You have several dozen approved comments; only first time comments go to moderation. So it shouldn’t have been held at all.
I believe you (not sarcastic, the internet makes that touch to discern). But part of what I said is that I do find it hard to believe that you are ignorant to the abuses that Amazon perpetuates.

This is just a drop in the bucket. I didn’t even really start diving into the harm to small businesses.
Hi Belle, I agree with Jamie here – it makes me uncomfortable making an unfathomably rich man richer when there are other options.
I would love to see a round-up, especially as we’re approaching gift season, of smaller artisans/businesses you like. Maybe ones local to DC or to where you are in the NW? I know you care a great deal about the community where you live/grew up and it would be a good way to support people during this time.
That rice dish looks amazing! How do you adapt the recipe for the instant pot?
Sorry, just noticed the instant pot part at the bottom. I got distracted by the yummy pictures after a long day…
No worries, I like to toast the peanuts in a separate pot though or else they steam.
For anyone who uses the wake-up lights and shares a room, could you speak about how you’ve found that works? I wake up earlier than my husband, and although I think I would love one of these as we move into winter, I don’t want to wake him up! (My alarm is set on low and is next to my pillow, so he doesn’t really hear it–but I expect the light would filter more to his side.)
I live with a heavy sleeper so I’m not a good evaluator here. I am a lighter sleeper and it definitely wakes me up. The light doesn’t cross the whole bed though.
I bought these off of an instagram account I like and follow – “Things I Bought and Like,” and they are now my every day shoe (wfm). I live in Texas, so there is no need for my ugg slippers yet, and these have a lot of support and are fun with the fur. I plan on buying pairs for my girlfriends. https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B08GKR6BTD/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o04_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1
I wanted to dig back through to find this post and thank you for the amazing bra recommendation. 16 months post partum and ten months post nursing, the bralette you linked to is the first bra that makes me feel supported without (1) an underwire or (2) ten thousand lbs of needless foam. Love it.
I’m so glad.
