The Range: Cable Knit Sweaters

Nov 4, 2019

I love the look of cable knit sweaters, but they always add so much bulk! I did snag a beautiful one from the The Reeds x J. Crew collection last year that is special enough to endure the bulkiness.

Belle, do you or other readers have thoughts on how to make this look professional? I’m thinking with formal-style statement jewelry, heels rather than boots or flats, and possibly a collared shirt underneath. I just feel like these can lean toward looking like you’re curling up on a couch at a ski lodge rather than in the office, but a girl’s gotta stay warm at work, too.

The Find: Shirts That Don’t Gape

I remember when Rochelle Behrens launched The Shirt — a button-down blouse with anti-gape technology (a patented internal button that keeps the look smooth). The idea seemed brilliant, but at the time, my bust didn’t require an extra button. One baby later, I understand the need for some extra security.
