Reality tells you what you can’t do. You have to ignore reality to do something new and challenging and different.  You can’t accept that reality is all you are capable of. — Rick Rubin

Starred. Astrology in the age of uncertainty.

Frocked. This navy/green twist front dress goes desk-to-dinner for <$50.

Talked. A simple solution for improving poor office communication.

Chilled. Living in my Cold Gear leggings and sweatshirt.

Created. How much would you pay to have a baby?

Topped. Beautiful blouses at Ann Taylor. Loving this pretty shell and this twist-neck top.

Stopped. 7 tips for saying ‘no’ to needy coworkers.

Adorned. The perfect holiday party earrings from Halogen. Also, these cool hoops.

Paired. Making new friends is one of the toughest parts of being an adult.

Bagged. Nordstrom Rack has designer handbags.  This McQueen wallet caught my eye.

Firm. Sticking up for yourself when a peer bosses you around.

Stomped. Sorel makes the best winter boots, but these J.Crew ones are more fun.

Lasting. How sustainable is renting your wardrobe?

Satiated. This Amla powder is chock-full of antioxidants and perfect for smoothies.

Getting Kyle to eat soup is no small feat.  So I thought I would make a soup that was more like an Asian-restaurant dish and see where I ended up.  This Yellow Curry Wonton soup was my first attempt.

Instead of making the vegetarian wontons — because that seemed difficult and not at all like a thing I wanted to spend my Saturday doing — I used Trader Joe’s chicken cilantro wontons.  Easy substitute. I also added more carrot, some yellow and green peppers, and a bit of leftover broccoli.  Dinner is served.

My husband also hates soup, but he loves stew, so now I just make soup and call it a stew and he warily eats it with minimal grumbling. He’s also more willing to eat soup when topped with crusty bread and lots of cheese…

I really want to o read Elizabeth Clines book. But a big takeaway from that article for me was to look for a better dry cleaner. I found a wet cleaner close enough to me that I’m going to try it.
