Several times per week, a reader will ask me if I’m still using a product that I raved about months previously. So every now and again, I like to follow up on my previous reviews to let you know which products I loved enough to keep buying after the first tube or bottle went dry. So let’s follow-up on some recent reviews, shall we?
Drybar Detox Clear Dry Shampoo ($23). Just bought my second can because I cannot afford to run out. I use this every other day (if not more frequently). It’s a huge time saver, has minimal buildup, and unlike other Dryer products, the smell doesn’t make me want to gag.
The Ordinary Alpha Arbutin Serum ($8). When you have acne, dark marks are a real problem. This serum lightens them and smooths skin. I keep it with me at all times and even use it on scrapes or cuts that I’m afraid will leave a mark.
Charlotte Tilbury Airbrush Setting Powder ($45). This broke in my makeup bag during a flight, and I did not replace it. I loved it right up until the end, but I’m going to finish a pan of HD Makeup Forever setting powder before I re-buy the Charlotte.
Charlotte Tilbury Color Chameleon Eyeshadow Pencil ($27). Love it. Give me every color.
Supergoop Sunscreen Kit ($52). This is my go-to travel sunscreen kit. I still love the products. If you need more sunscreen options for families or every day use, for $48 you can have the industrial size.

Do you still use your aphorism products? What about your Dermaflash razor?
I love the Aphorism products and still use them in the drier weather and when I’m tired. In summer humidity, they’re a little heavy for my skin. As for the derma flash, w’re missing three boxes from the move, and I’m fairly certain it’s in one of them.
I personally really like that Supergoop mousse sunscreen, and their sunscreen oi as welll. I’m outside with my kids all day long and its worked marvelous on my transparent skin.
I’d love to know if you’re still using a Foreo. I bought a Clarisonic many years ago and your recommendation. When it finally broke, I stopped using it. But my skin has gotten significantly worse the past years and am thinking I need to get some exfoliating type device again
I lost the charger for mine about two months ago, but I just replaced it, because I missed it.
the Foreo or the Clarisonic?
The foreo. My clarisonic broke a while back, and I didn’t replace it because I liked not buying brush heads for the foreo.
Count me in as another fan of Supergoop. We’re users of the industrial sized everyday sunscreen!
Belle, do you still use The Ordinary’s Buffet serum? I bought it after your recommendation a long time ago. I think it’s working for me, but it also could be that I’m being more diligent with my skincare routine?
Hi Belle –
Doe The Ordinary Alpha Arbutin Serum, “get rid of” already established acne scars, or mask them temporarily?
So it gets rid of dark spots primarily. And it does get rid of them.
How do you get your Charlotte Tilbury eye pencils to stay on your lids? Mine comes off mid-day! Otherwise I love them as well.
I use the Urban Decay eye primer, so I’ve never had that issue.
Hey Belle! Thanks for the round-up. Are you still using the Aphorism serums?
I’m not using them every night, but when my skin is dry or I go to a dry place, that’s the first thing I reach for.
Yes! Thank you for this, exactly what I didn’t know I needed.
Does the clear Drybar spray leave powder all over the place? I love the results of the Drybar dry shampoo (agree on the smell) but hate the powdery residue in my bathroom It probably doesn’t help that I have black countertops, so it just looks a mess.
I have noticed some residue, but way, way less than with their original formula.
