The Range: Beach Hats

May 17, 2019

Memorial Day is right around the corner, and a good hat for the beach or the pool is essential.  I love the simplicity of a straw hat with a simple black band.  Choose the style that’s right for you.

    Hi Abra,
Do you have any tips for reshaping a panama hat that has been smushed? 🙁

    Thanks,
    Catherine

LOVE my Wallaroo Victoria Sunhat. Purchased 5 years ago and still perfect. It can be packed and will re shape easily. Comes in lots of colors.

I’ve found hats without a back like this one (https://www.target.com/p/women-s-backless-floppy-hat-with-bow-a-new-day-153-natural/-/A-54081257)
to be the most comfortable because I can lie down/lie back without smushing the hat. It also comes with ties to make the hat tight and secure on your head so it won’t blow away on windy days 🙂

I have a huge head and standard women’s sunhats never fit me. I just resort to a ball cap which isn’t nearly as cute but oh well.

Too Many Tabs: April 19, 2024

This week, I fell mindlessly into my phone more than I think I ever have. My screen time went from 3.5 hours per day to 5 hours per day. But the increased eye strain did lead to some good finds. Just going to leave this right here.  (I really need to work on “Didn’t make […]
