Five Amazon Must-Haves for April

Apr 23, 2019

Working 12 to 14-hour days, Amazon has been a lifesaver.  Prime shipping has kept me from running out of toothpaste, shampoo, vitamins, and many other essentials.  Here are some of my latest, greatest finds.

Do you ever miss a spot when you’re shaving?  Only all the time.  Then, I get to work and in the harsh fluorescent light of day, I realize there is a four-inch strip of hair on my calf.  Fabulous.

I bought this Sphynx shaver to keep in my desk for shaving touch ups.  It’s circular, and twists to reveal different tools.  It contains a small spray bottle for water, a pre-shave moisturizing bar, and razors.  The Sphinx is a useful tool for the gym, camping, or cleaning up missed spots.

I love my Apple AirPods.  My one complaint is that they disappear in the bottom of my bag.  Or they used to.  This silicone AirPods case attaches to a key chain to keep them nearby.  Don’t want them on your keys?  This metal case has a clip to attach them to the strap of your purse or something else.

These large grocery totes are a lifesaver.  No need to carry several small bags, just put one of these oversized totes into your shopping cart and go.  They’re collapsible for storage in your trunk.  They’re also great for hauling laundry.

I’ve posted about these gold, collagen eye masks before, but being totally exhausted, I just re-ordered and thought I would bring them up again.  They do an impressive job of reducing puffiness and minimizing fine lines.  They have a mild impact on under-eye circles, but they brighten like a dream.  Plus, they’re soothing at the end of a long day.

I posted this Bag Organizer last week, but I’ve had a lot of questions about it.  The XL is the perfect size for the Madewell and Everlane Totes.  A different size would also be great for a canvas Land’s End beach bag.  The pockets keep everything in its place and give the bag shape.

I got one of those AirPod silicone covers a few weeks ago and love it! And just ordered a purse organizer this week… and I ALWAYS miss the sides of my knees. Always.

I’m also in a period of 14 hour days right now and this could not be more real. I made a rule where as soon as I think of something I’m running out of, I order it. My mental space is already overcrowded- I can’t spare any for remembering to buy toilet paper!
Following this rule, those gold eye masks just made their way into my cart!

Sloane loves the pool. She jumps from the deck into the water with a crash, never considering her own safety, only to emerge on the surface, shouting “Again!” The pool is my daughter’s happy place. But no place where I need to wear a swimsuit in public is a happy one for me.

The Mondays: July 22, 2024

The Crowdstrike/Microsoft Meltdown forced me to take a few days off this weekend. No laptop. No billable hours. So we packed Sloane up for a visit to a local llama farm, stopped by the pool, went for coffee, etc. Few things are as funny as watching a 23-month old feed carrots to a ravenous rescue […]
