‘Who knows what women can be when they are finally free to be themselves.’ — Betty Friedan

Wronged. Mispronounced someone’s name? What to do next.

Clutched. This $29 black-and-white clutch is perfect for cocktails or brunch.

Equitable. What to do if you’re paid less than a male co-worker.

Laced. Selected this beautiful Karen Millen dress for a friend’s wedding.

Grouped. Why building community is an underrated metric of success.

Inked. Iris & Ink has the chic white blazer and this wrap dress. 15% off for new costumers with code FirstTime15.

Gapped. Three articles on the pay gap for Equal Pay Day. What Millennial women need to know about the pay gap, and how flexible schedules for women might be expanding the wage gap.  And why April 2nd isn’t Equal Pay Day for all women.

Masked. This new Dr. Jart under-eye masks fights dark circles. Interesting.  Also, this one to target dark spots on your face.

Married. Why is the wedding industry so hard to disrupt?

Cozied. Love this gather-front sweatshirt, and this more affordable twist-front one.

Flipped. How to switch up your networking strategies to be more successful.

Discounted. My favorite jeans are on sale for $89 at Nordstrom Rack.

Speculative. No more ‘near knows’ for single women.

I love this look.  The tiny, stacked bands on every hand.  It’s impactful but with a pretty, subtlety.

Looking to recreate this look I found some great sets of stack bands.  These Ann Taylor bands have different textures, which are really cool.  These Nadri bands have little more heft to them if you like a wider style.  But if you’re looking for a replica of the photo, try these Stella & Dot bands or this $6 Forever21 set.

All these links are great. And I finally just figured out that I can sign up for newsletter emails from you rather than just coming to your site and clicking through anything I think is a new post. Doh! Goodness knows how many great links I missed in the past.

I really like that “you never know” article – I am SO sick of that phrase. I like being single, it’s not a “problem” that I need to fix, and like the author, I would rather not spend every single night out, on edge, thinking “am I missing something?”

I appreciate the article on Equal Pay Day. As a black woman, the misconception and misunderstanding of Equal Pay is harmful because the narrative normally centers white women and erases those most marginalized in our society. In my professionals space many non women of color are completely unaware. I hope the article informs many people and creates a space to center those women in the fight for equal pay.

Absolutely love your blog, which I read every day on my commute to Grand Central Station in NYC. Today I saw not one but two typos (cocktaisl and selectd). Knowing for fastidious you are I just wanted to ask is everything ok? The flu and wedding planning aside of course LOL… your blog is such a highlight and want to share support from your fangirls. Also, LOVE the photos you have been putting at the top of your blog every day. A moment of zen!!!

LOVED both the “community” read and the “single/you never know” read. Both resonated so well with me. Thanks for such a thoughtful roundup.

Have you heard of AUrate jewelry? It looks great but would love to see some unbiased reviews. I’ve been seeing so many ads on Instagram and Facebook, you should try it out for your Saw it on Social posts!
