If you want something said, ask a man; if you want something done, ask a woman. — Margaret Thatcher

Thirtyish. Are your 30s really your “prime?”

Sheathed. This Banana Republic dress comes in amazing colors for spring.

Tested. Ways to advance your career without becoming a manager.

Blazed. This Yoox blazer has the most unique draped accent.  Total statement piece.

Tired. Why you can’t “get back” sleep missed during the work week.

Freshened. Smelly washer?  This product is the secret solution.

Toxic. Canada is sending feuding politicians on blind dates. Who do you think the U.S. should pair up?

Bowed. These M.Gemi bow flats are everything.  I need all the colors.

Timing. The right way to ask if you can “pick someone’s brain.” (I hate that phrase.)

Crowned. This pink GOAT dress and discounted red GOAT sheath are so Duchess Kate.

Threshold. What to do when your partner has old-fashioned views on money.

Cooking for one stinks.  Since Kyle left last month, I’ve been cooking a lot of bowls.  The Everygirl has ten options that look pretty tasty.

I’ve discovered that the key to a good bowl is variety and texture.  I make one meat, buy some sauces, mix up my vegetables, and always make sure to have some crunch.  And when in doubt, add more vegetables.

If 30s are my prime and my 40th is this summer, just kill me now.

I’m in my 40s and while I LOVED my 30s…there is a freedom and relief of being in my 40s that is incredible. I feel like I’m in my prime at 48. You can’t change your age – embrace it.

“Ways to advance your career without becoming a manager.” – I needed this today. My organization keeps flattening layers, so less managers (managers moved to individual contributor roles in many cases). I feel like I’ll never have a chance at moving up.

Fellow cook for one here – I cannot recommend Ina Garten’s Crispy Mustard Chicken with Frisée enough (http://barefootcontessa.com/recipes/crispy-mustard-chicken-fris%C3%A9e). It’s been my go-to for a complete meal that seems more decadent than it is: essentially one pan, includes a salad, and can be portioned out for meals/ reheating.
