There is nothing more exhausting than the task you never started.Happier in Hollywood podcast work mantra*

*We’ll talk more about work mantras on Wednesday.  I just wanted to leave this right here, because the tasks I never started are definitely a source of anxiety as the week goes on.  Maybe I can remind myself of that as the week goes on.

Assured. Need help making decisions?  Try the 20-minute rule.

Festive. Need V-Day attire?  Try these embroidered smoking slippers.

Plumped. Do collagen supplements actually do anything for your skin?

Feminine. This vine-printed blouse and pink blazer for work, so gorgeous.

Targeted. How to identify if you’re a victim of gaslighting at work.

Saved. Bloomingdale’s is having a huge sale. This BOSS dress and this Frame blouse are in my cart. Looking for something under-$100? This sweater is fabulous.

Lapsed. What you need to know about makeup expiration dates.

Striped. Love this fuchsia puff-sleeve top and ruffled collar blouse from C/Meo.

Office art — it’s so hard to find affordable wall decor.  The Etsy store The Peoples Prints has great art for your office or for your home.  The pink and navy pieces above are nice.  I also like the moodiness of this dark navy and metallic painting.

Thanks so much for the tip about that Etsy store! Drooling over their prints – especially the pink and navy ones you posted above.

Thank you for the top quote! I’m sitting here staring at a blank page and trying to start writing my dissertation – every little reminder that starting will make it better is helpful. Best of luck to you on your un-started tasks!

That article about collagen supplements is timely and informative. Thanks for sharing!

It’s allegedly spring. However, for every minute of sunshine, there seems to be an hour of rain and gloom. So while I’d love to wear lighter spring pieces, it’s time to bring on the layers.

Business Casual Outfit: Linen Closet

And just like that, it’s April. Summer is almost upon us, and the retailers are filled with linen wares. Now, you know that I am usually unwilling to wear linen to work due to the wrinkles. But in this post-pandemic world, perhaps my mind can change.
