The Range: Contrasting Cap Toe

Dec 14, 2018

I’m always searching for classics.  What can I buy that will look good years from now?  I don’t need trendy flings, I need staples.  And this style of show has definitely become a classic.

Corner Office

Veronica Beard Leonie D’Orsay Flats ($350)

Cubicle Farm

Steven Cap Toe Pumps ($129)

Prefer flats?  Try these from J.Jill.

Whyyyyy are those $350? I love them so much! Great picks.

  2. Elz says:

I have a pair of cap toe LK Bennett’s that 8 wore and wore and wore and had them repaired so many t8mes. F8nally found a pair of classic Prada’s on TRR a month ago. Wardrobe staple!

Abra, you will be the best-dressed professional woman in the entire MT Capitol building, whatever your choices may be.
The casualness and just plain poor taste of the dress code here continues to surprise me–just when I think it can’t get any worse, someone new comes around the corner.
Cattiness aside, I love where I live, the people here are just plain THE BEST, and wouldn’t trade it for anywhere else on earth, but I do wish we could learn to put ourselves together better.
My suggestion to you is to use your celebrity credits and have a ‘professional fashion/dressing’ educational evening or Sunday afternoon session for Capitol staff women (like you won’t have anything else to do) to brainstorm how we can look better on a budget. Trust me, you’ll leave the place better than what you’ve found it.
    Wishing you all the best…

The Find: A Versatile Sweater Jacket

It’s allegedly spring. However, for every minute of sunshine, there seems to be an hour of rain and gloom. So while I’d love to wear lighter spring pieces, it’s time to bring on the layers.

Business Casual Outfit: Linen Closet

And just like that, it’s April. Summer is almost upon us, and the retailers are filled with linen wares. Now, you know that I am usually unwilling to wear linen to work due to the wrinkles. But in this post-pandemic world, perhaps my mind can change.

The Range: Spring Blouses for Work (or Zoom)

Since Sloane was born, I’ve fallen hard into a black, white, and blue wardrobe. This is not necessarily a bad thing, but as spring blooms, I need a little color in my wardrobe (and probably a little print too). Here are a few tops that caught my eye for work.
