Oh, ladies, it’s here. Whether you’re ready or not, it’s time to start holiday shopping. But let’s ease into it, shall we? How about some great Etsy gifts for people who like their presents homemade…by someone else.
Mosaic Shearling Slipper ($53.90)
These shearling slippers from Sheepers caught my eye. They look warm, comforting, and maybe just a little bit glam. The seller carries many products from blankets to coats to an abundance of slippers. But be forewarned, they are in the UK, so shipping could be a bit slow.
Personalized Campfire Mugs ($14.80/$16.80 personalized)
I liked these Etsy mugs so much, I made them my go-to gift for my work friends. You can personalize them with a name, a quote or an event description like “Belke Family Christmas 2018.” They can also do express one-day printing for rush gifts.
The Odysea store has so many great designs, they’re all worth a look. They have holiday themed mugs, but my favorite was this “Witch Please” mug. You can also ask them to add a custom logo.
A few years ago, Kyle got a bluetooth speaker in a gift bag at a conference and would not stop with what a great gift it was. It’s been one of my go-to corporate/business gifts ever since. It’s useful, non-gender specific, and a valuable re-gift if people don’t use it. The minimalist design on this one makes it even better.
Carved Products also offers some beautiful wood-carved items. They have the most gorgeous Android and iPhone cases that I’ve ever seen. They’re so unique and dramatic, and all the cases are one-of-a-kind.
Custom Family Portrait (price unknown)
This might be the perfect #momgift. Capture all of your loved ones in one pretty piece of art. The Borolina Shop has many styles of portrait to choose from, all of them something your loved ones will cherish.
Her shop is on break until 11/19, but you can order this item then. Can’t wait? There are many talented artists offering similar gifts on Etsy.
Pegs and Jokers 10 ppl Set ($110)
Does your family love board games? Pegs and Jokers is one of the most competitive, enjoyable games out there for large groups. It’s a combination of Sorry! and Cribbage, and it is truly addictive. You can find dozens of sets on Etsy in different price points, but this one is the one we own.
Planters are a nice gift for friends, office-mates, and friendly acquaintances. ArtCraftatHome’s planters are all really beautifully designed with bold colors and modern shapes. I love this one because it has a gorgeous sunset color palette, but this beautiful blue-wave pattern also caught my eye.
Herkimer Rose Gold Earrings ($25)
Herkimer diamond crystal is a rough cut stone that gives you the appeal of a diamond in a more modern (and inexpensive) way. I love these rose gold drops for their femininity. I also found these wrapped Herkimer studs and these oh-so-chic semi-bezel set Herkimer studs.

Awesome ideas. I love the speakers idea.
Do you have any suggestions for mature women? (specifically aunts and other women in my life who are 60+?) I’m ruling food out since there’s too many individual restrictions.
I know I’m not Abra, but… with that age group, a small luxury item (like a small L’Occitane hand cream) and a nice note that you made a donation in their name to a charity they would appreciate (I often chose my local food bank) has been very well received.
This age group doesn’t need more ‘stuff’, they might like a nice treat and to know that you’re thinking of them.
I echo this! I also have gifted this Aesop soap before – it feels fancy and has gentle exfoliation

I echo all of these ideas and have also had good luck with a tea cup or mug + gift certificate from a local tea or coffee shop. Again, that sort of luxury item or excuse to make an every day thing a little fancier.
I like something they can use like a nice pair of gloves or an Uber gift card (handy for trips to the airport and whatnot). But those folks usually don’t want or need more stuff that will sit around unused.
Great options! I want all of these for myself. I’ve never seen such beautiful slippers!
Herkimer Diamonds are from near my hometown – I have a Herkimer Diamond necklace from a wedding that I was in and love it!! Definitely unique (and local for me!) 🙂
I recommend SaressaDesigns’ Etsy shop. While all of her jewelry is beautiful, the owner makes some pretty Herkimer diamond stud earrings as well: https://www.etsy.com/listing/249221905/herkimer-diamond-studs-minimalist-post?ga_search_query=herkimer&ref=shop_items_search_1&bes=1
