The Edition: No. 57

The way to get things done is not to mind who gets credit for doing them.  — Benjamin Jowett

Appeal. Need affordable cashmere?  Amazon has you covered for colors and styles.

Venue. How to host Thanksgiving without stress. And Martha’s quick Turkey Day recipes.

Bill of Sale. It’s Clear the Rack at Nordstrom Rack. This Boss sheath dress is superb.

Interrogatories. 10 Impressive Questions to Ask in a Job Interview.

Objects of Bounty. 40% off this lovely, long nugget pendant and these pave hexagon studs at Ann Taylor, FRIENDS40.

Class Action. Making friends as an adult, the worst.

Uphold. People always ask where I got the rustic blanket ladder in my living room. The answer? Etsy.

Duty of Care. The NYT is answering your burning career questions.

Covering Angles. An a-line sweater dress and a feminine sweatshirt-dress at Boden.

Assets. How to date a lot of billionaires (fascinating, and disconcerting).

This weekend, I started the long process of organizing closets and drawers.  Many black trash bags were filled with detritus.  Many boxes of donation items are on their way to the Union Gospel Mission.  And many things needed to be organized in a way that allows them to be moved.

These gray storage containers (there are two in the photo, one with and one without the window) are wonderful.  They’re deep, more rectangle than square.  The lids are also attached and fold-over, so you’ll never lose them.  $18 for two.

I also like their soft bags for under-bed storage of linens and sweaters.  And I use their drawer dividers for socks and undergarments.

I’m in the middle of moving. Props to you for organizing now instead of later. It’s terrible but I know I won’t be able to itemize this year so I’m saving all my donations until January 1.

The NYT “Work Friend” is hilarious! Thank you for sharing.
