“Yield to temptation. It may not pass your way again.” —Â Robert A. Heinlein
Status Changes. Why I decided not to move in with my boyfriend?
Silky. Want soft, smooth legs this summer? This Curel Hydra Therapy wet moisturizer is the thing.
Maintenance Fees. The all-powerful Martha Stewart tells you how to keep your purses stain and scratch free. #necessary
Simple. These 18k huggie hoop earrings from Baublebar are perfect for work, and these druzy drops are perfect for cocktails.
Boxed Out. Why e-mail is so stressful, even though it probably shouldn’t be.
Frocked. Need dresses under-$100? Â This Oasis floral tie-dress, this WAYF blouson dress, and this AQUA dress with gorgeous details are for you. Â Plus? I’m really into this leopard wrap dress.
New Arrivals. Everyone in America is having fewer babies — except women in their 40s.
Gifted. Looking for a great weddings/housewarming gift? These OXO pop-top containers are the best. Â Looking under-$50? Â I love the acacia serving tray for apps, drinks or cheese-platters.
Wanted. If we really believe in gender equity, why are male assistants still a novelty?
What are your feelings on nail art, specifically in the workplace? Â I think something subtle like this black accent or this gold one could work, but there are really some ornate looks out there. Â I’m curious whether these styles would be acceptable where you work, or what you would think of someone in your field who had blinged out nails as opposed to painted ones.

Petites: I love aqua – their sizing is very petite friendly!
WRT to nail art – Short and subtle yes, long and ornate would be a no. I wore gel polish for awhile and decided I was ok with non-standard colors (e.g. OPI Russian Navy which “reads” as near black) as long my nails were short.
I save nail art for vacation, but I think the tasteful examples you mentioned are acceptable in most workplaces
I found the OXO pop-tops hard to clean well. These are my new favorite, with bonus points for easy stacking, a tinted one for coffee beans and this nifty brown sugar thing I never knew I always needed!

As far as nail art goes, if it is subtle – OK. Basically, I think it is the type of thing that should only be noticeable by people who would want to notice/appreciate that sort of thing. If you have otherwise oblivious coworkers being distracted by your nails, it’s too much.
Also, Heinlein is always a good choice.
