Don’t Miss Amazon’s Secret Prime Sample Section

Mar 13, 2018

Samples.  Who doesn’t love a good mini-sized beauty product?  They give you a chance to try a more expensive item before you commit to the full-size, and they are the ideal choice for traveling.  (I will not be held prisoner by TSA’s silly three-ounce rule.)  So when I discovered Amazon’s “secret” sample section for Prime members, I almost jumped for joy.

So here’s how it works: You choose a sample (usually priced between $2-$4) and also receive a credit toward buying hundreds of full-priced items.  So if you really love the product, you’re out nothing.  If you don’t give it the thumbs up, you’ve saved yourself money on something else.

You can also buy sample boxes that contain everything from Soylent meal replacement drinks to skincare to petfood.  The boxes also come with a credit towards qualified products.

So which samples caught my eye?  I grabbed this luxury beauty sample box hoping for a new favorite thing.  I also buy all of my travel tooth paste, deodorant, and hairspray through Amazon samples.  Yes, you can grab these things at the grocery store for a similar price, but the Amazon credit makes picking them up with your next order a no brainer.

Not a member of Amazon Prime?  You can try it free for 30-days, and upgrade to the $99 per year program if you love it.  Try Amazon Prime 30-Day Free Trial

The Range: Spring Blouses for Work (or Zoom)

Since Sloane was born, I’ve fallen hard into a black, white, and blue wardrobe. This is not necessarily a bad thing, but as spring blooms, I need a little color in my wardrobe (and probably a little print too). Here are a few tops that caught my eye for work.

Too Many Tabs: April 19, 2024

This week, I fell mindlessly into my phone more than I think I ever have. My screen time went from 3.5 hours per day to 5 hours per day. But the increased eye strain did lead to some good finds. Just going to leave this right here.  (I really need to work on “Didn’t make […]
