2017 Holiday Gift Guide: For the Homebody

Nov 20, 2017

The thing I miss most about being single is having a Friday night to myself.  Just me, cozy pajamas, some takeout, and zero plans.  Sometimes I can’t wait for K to have a business trip so I can have a night in.  So I decided to craft my first gift guide of 2017 for ladies who just want a night to themselves.

One. An Oversized Knit Throw.  These chunky knit blankets are so trendy right now, but it’s not hard to see why.  They’re the perfect mix of relaxed and chic.  Exactly what you need for a night binge watching Netflix on the couch.

Ivory Oversized Throw ($75) // Beige Mink Throw ($112) // Cotton Chunky Knit Blanket ($50)

Two. A Mexican Hot Chocolate Kit.  I love hot chocolate.  It’s cozy, delicious, and slightly sinful.  Mexican Hot Chocolate involves using a Molinillo to make the frothiest, smoothest hot chocolate you’ve ever tasted. It’s exactly what you need at the end of a long week.  And if you prefer a cheekier mug, I love these ones from H&M.

Taza Chocolate Disc Sampler ($25) // Molinillo Frother ($28) // Monogram Mugs ($14)

Three. Cozy Slippers. Two years ago, against my better judgment, I bought a pair of Ugg slippers.  They were one of the best purchases I’ve ever made.  At the end of a long day, they’re a vacation for your feet.  They also keep your toes toasty even on cold nights.

Ugg Dakota Pom Pom Slipper ($119) // Mossimo Gemma Slippers ($20)

Four. A Warm, Soft Sweatshirt. Early mornings, late nights, sometimes you just need to wear something comfortable.  This Smooshshirt from Emi Jay is Oprah’s Favorite Things List.  It’s shockingly soft and perfect for layering.

Smooshshirt Sweatershirt ($136) // Alo Haze Funnelneck ($88) // Sperry Funnelneck ($37)

Five. A Luxurious Face Mask.  Sometimes your skin just needs a break.  After a week spent in makeup, with little sleep, and not enough water, nothing feels better than a luxurious face mask.  Just sit back, relax, and let it soothe, heal, and treat.

Estee Lauder Powerfoil Mask ($22) // Dr. Jart Replenishing Mask ($8) // Gold Collagen Masks ($19)

Six. A Relaxing Bath.  My greatest luxury is a bath.  Just 45-minutes to myself to not think about anything.    Adding a creamy bubble bath, some sea salts, or a trendy bath bomb can step it up.  This bath caddy lets you take a glass of wine, a book, or a candle into the tub with you.  This takes self care to another level.

Bamboo Bath Caddy ($35) // Herbivore Coconut Soak ($18) // Herbivore Calm Bath Salts ($18)

Love this gift guide! I especially love the bath caddy suggestion–this is something that so many people would love but might not think to buy for themselves (my favorite kind of gift). Thanks for putting together these great suggestions!

What a refreshing list for an introvert like myself. Love this! I have my eye on the oversize knit throw…just need to decide on a color! Thanks for posting 🙂

Do you have another link for the Gold Collagen Masks ($19)? It says page doesn’t exist. I think this was one of your favorite masks right? Thanks!

    • Belle says:

I changed it to an Amazon link. Yes, these are some of my favorites. I find them very soothing and moisturizing when my skin is just tired.

It’s allegedly spring. However, for every minute of sunshine, there seems to be an hour of rain and gloom. So while I’d love to wear lighter spring pieces, it’s time to bring on the layers.

The Range: Spring Blouses for Work (or Zoom)

Since Sloane was born, I’ve fallen hard into a black, white, and blue wardrobe. This is not necessarily a bad thing, but as spring blooms, I need a little color in my wardrobe (and probably a little print too). Here are a few tops that caught my eye for work.
