Quote of the Day.

“Avoiding danger is no safer in the long run than outright exposure. The fearful are caught as often as the bold.” — Helen Keller

The Top Story.

Recently, I was thinking about ways to build a better blog community.  There are so many amazing women who read this site, and I’d hate to see a resource like that go to waste.

I created a Facebook page for The Work Edit that I want to build into a place to share advice, discuss interesting articles, etc.. I posted the first discussion question yesterday looking for the best advice for making it through a Monday.  Come join us!

Daily Reads and Links.

1) This Michael Stars Ruched Dress is a great day-to-night option.

2) Can a quiz pinpoint what will make you happier at work? (HBR)

3) I love the print on these LOFT ankle pants, and this embroidered dress.

4) Maybe you don’t need a mentor? (The M-Dash)

5) Best of ASOS: a ruffle wrap dress, a geo-print coat, a fluffy turtleneck dress.

6) Personal finance has everything and nothing to with money. (Lifehacker)

7) I love this $12 rose gold makeup bag from Zoella. Great travel makeup bag.

8) What to do if your intern is a complainer? (The Cut)

The Daily Ws.

What I’ve Rewatched 5x. Kumail Nanjiani’s monologue from SNL.

What I’m Trying. Stitch Fix. Hit or miss so far.

What I’m Adding to My Xmas List. This electric tea kettle.

Instagram of the Day.

Cass Lavelle and I went to college together, and I don’t think either of us assumed that one day we’d make money discussing style and design on the Internet.  But here we are.  Her Insta, Coco + Kelley, is a great spot for people who love design.  It fulls of #housegoals inspiration.

My personal feeling is that Stitch Fix delivered very low quality clothes. I have since switched to Trunk Club (by Nordstrom), and have been so much happier. I spend more money on the individual pieces I buy, but the quality is so much nicer and I can get Nordstrom points and free tailoring!
