I really enjoyed the handshake article and thought that man’s comment about wanting to hug everyone but holding back with men was really telling about our culture. How sad it is that we force men and boys to be so unemotional.
I’d be really interested in your opinion of The Curated Closet, would you recommend it? is it helpful? not helpful? could the advice be summed up in a blog post?
No matter how many blog posts/articles I’ve read on capsule wardrobes and closet staples, I still struggle to maintain a cohesive style while not falling victim to every new trend. I also find that my professional and casual wardrobes differ wildly. As the book description says, I’d love to be able to describe my personal style in one sentence, so if it’s worth the read, I’ll go pick it up immediately!
Since I moved into my house, my closet has gotten out of control. (I think there may have also been some post law school binge shopping in there.) And since I had a perfectly edited closet for years, I’m trying to use the book as inspiration. I’m working on some posts to go with it regarding editing your wardrobe.
I subscribe to the blog via a feed reader (Feedly), and since the redesign, none of the pictures, hyperlinks, or formatting is coming across. I completely understand if this isn’t a priority, but wanted to make you aware of the situation if you weren’t already!
Good to know. I’ll pass this along.
FYI, I generally get your blog through Feedly on my iPhone and the site design has posts truncated and there’s no formatting (so the workday reading post didn’t have any of the links
Gack sorry dropped my phone, anyway, it’s not showing the formatting and is forcing a click through to the site to read full posts.
