Posting will be light this week.  I am in Colorado visiting my Nana, and like many grandparents, she refuses to spend money on Internet access.  And if I spend all my time at Starbucks writing blog posts, that sort of defeats the purpose of going to visit her in the first place.

1) Gretchen Carlson talks about sexual harassment and how arbitration clauses protect harassers. (Time)

2) This $35 Target bag mixes a sleek satchel with an effortless crossbody for the perfect look.

3) Bad habits to break to become more productive. (Forbes)

4) LOFT Must Haves: This gorgeous button back/sheer sleeve sweater and this single-button white blazer.

5) From group gifts to splitting the bill, how to handle 11 tricky money situations. (Real Simple)

6) Sam Edelman makes stylish pumps for work, block heels for play (need these), and cool slides for weekend.

7) The problem with saying ‘My Door Is Always Open.’ (HBR)

8) Convinced myself I needed this pale pink tweed jacket from Helene Berman. It’s a skill.

9) Amal Clooney is more than a pregnant fashion plate. (Vogue)

10) Take note: embroidered clutches (like this one, this one. this simple $13 one) are about to be everywhere.

11) This disgusting display of douchebaggery was inevitable. (The Cut)

What I Found Enlightening.  I don’t listen to music much anymore, so this article about the ’25 Songs That Tell Us Where Music Is Going’ was interesting. (Caution, you can turn it off but the music actually plays.)

The First Step to Recovery is admitting you have an addiction to gorgeous, affordable lantern-sleeve tops.

What Is Sucking My Time. Everything But The House.  Estates sales reinvented.  Way cooler than eBay.

First a rant, so annoyed by all the “Amal Clooney Shows Off her Babybump” headlines. Ugh, she’s pregnant in business attire, not even tight fitting business attire. She’s not showing it off. It’s a part of her body. It’s just there. Unless she came out in a crop top, it isn’t showing off anything.

And 2, a question, what size do you buy in the Everlane v-neck? I remember you raving about it, and I think I’m gonna buy one but can’t decide which size. I want it to be pretty slouchy. I’m usually a S/M

  2. Mary says:

That quote is so perfect in my world right now. Thank you! Have fun on your visit!

  3. The Other Mary says:

My 92-year old grandpa has a wireless network because he’s the coolest. Enjoy your visit.

  4. Tricia says:

Belle will you be hosting a bracket tournament this year for March Madness?

    • Valerie says:

Seconded. I never used to follow NCAA basketball, but after a couple years of watching it with my boyfriend (who’s a diehard fan of his undergrad team), I think I might actually know what I’m doing with the brackets 😛

    • Belle says:

No, I was advised to stop doing it. It’s too bad, but there was some concern about the legality of it.

  5. Caroline says:

Thank you for mentioning everything but everyone house! I had never heard of it before and it looks like it will be a great source for decorating my new apartment.

Beauty Review: Bondi Boost

As I age, I notice many changes in my body. Most are fine. Some are frustrating. Like many women, I lost a lot of hair in my postpartum phase. Being anemic for more than a year after, it didn’t grow back in to its former glory. So I’ve tried any number of shampoos, pills and […]

The Find: Shirts That Don’t Gape

I remember when Rochelle Behrens launched The Shirt — a button-down blouse with anti-gape technology (a patented internal button that keeps the look smooth). The idea seemed brilliant, but at the time, my bust didn’t require an extra button. One baby later, I understand the need for some extra security.

The Mondays: March 18, 2024

This weekend was a tricky one. The warm weather and bright sunshine of last weekend disappeared in a flurry of wet snow trapping our very active 18-month-old in the house with us. Plus, our babysitter cancelled, so neither of us feels ready for the week ahead. But in between making mac-and-cheese and watching Aristocats for […]
