1) The art of making and not making plans. (The New York Times)

2) Test drive a fall trend with these $27 pointy-toe smoking flats before committing to a pricier pair.

3) Should you break your day up into 100 10 minute blocks? (Wait But Why)

4) Add a festive brooch to this sapphire velvet dress from Felicity & Coco for a chic holiday look.

5) How to bounce back from a job rejection. (The Everygirl)

6) I spotted this side-split tweed skirt from Halogen at the store. Much prettier in person.

7) Good Girls Revolt: The legacy of the Newsweek lawsuit. (Newsweek)

8) Lace-up henleys are big right now.  I love this H&M top, and this animal print lace up blouse.

I have the side-split tweed skirt from Nordstrom. Confirmed that it is much cuter in person than online. I prefer wearing it with black tights because I found my (glaringly) pale legs to be too much of a contrast. Note that it runs very true to size / a bit on the snug side – there is absolutely no stretch in the tweed. Worth it, though.

The Find: Bright and Striped

For the past few years, the wardrobes of many influencers have tilted toward the beige and boring.  I’m all for a good basic, but staple pieces can only take you so far.  Sometimes, you need to wear something that has a little something extra, and this sale-priced tee certainly does.
