1) It’s no fun, but you have to negotiate your salary. Here’s how. (We Are Mel)

2) Sole Society has some kick ass earrings right now.  These stone ear jackets and stone deco drops are awesome.

3) Washington, D.C. is the restaurant city of the year. (Bon Appetit)

4) LOFT is having a 40%-off sale.  This lantern sleeve jacket is a work must.  I also like this woodblock print dress for casual days.

5) 8 Ways To Fall Back in Love with Your Job. (The Everygirl)

6) SheFinds ranked bralettes by support and found the Cosabella Dolce Soft Bra was the most supportive.

7) An illustrated guide to folding anything and everything. (My Domaine)

8) This Alexis Bittar encrusted cuff bracelet is an absolute stunner.  They also make a matching ring.

That Loft lantern jacket is in my cart as we speak- I just love the goldenrod colour and it’s such a beautiful blazer, unlike any that I own.

Have a job interview for the first time in 11 years tomorrow, thanks for posting about negotiating salary!

For me, the salary is above what I make, and really good. But it’s also possible to negotiate for other things, like flexibility and perks – with a small child I need a workplace that can provide that more than a few thousand more dollars.

My first big ask is going to be for a start date that will allow me to complete some obligations in my current job, when I know they need someone right away.

Beauty Review: Bondi Boost

As I age, I notice many changes in my body. Most are fine. Some are frustrating. Like many women, I lost a lot of hair in my postpartum phase. Being anemic for more than a year after, it didn’t grow back in to its former glory. So I’ve tried any number of shampoos, pills and […]

I remember when Rochelle Behrens launched The Shirt — a button-down blouse with anti-gape technology (a patented internal button that keeps the look smooth). The Mondays: March 18, 2024

This weekend was a tricky one. The warm weather and bright sunshine of last weekend disappeared in a flurry of wet snow trapping our very active 18-month-old in the house with us. Plus, our babysitter cancelled, so neither of us feels ready for the week ahead. But in between making mac-and-cheese and watching Aristocats for […]
