Agreed! I can’t wait for the next 40% off Ann Taylor sale day.
Two notes, just fyi: The Georgette wrap blouse — which I am in love with, though haven’t yet tried on — is much more of a peach than the blush it appears on my screen. Also, it did not appear to have a hook or clasp to keep the shirt together, so it may need a minor alteration to avoid flashing your coworkers.

I have tried the Georgette wrap blouse on in the store. Sadly, I don’t see how it could be altered to make it workable in real life. Do yourself a favor and pass on that one.

      • Crystal says:

That’s a shame, because I love the details on that blouse. Why do designers make “work wear” that can’t be actually be worn to work (or anywhere)?
Also–40% off this week for cardmembers with code Friends40 !!!!

      • Sarah says:

Agreed. I really wanted it to work but sadly its just not practical.

      • Anna says:

How exactly is it not work appropriate? In the picture it looks like it comes up to a crew neck.

        • Crystal says:

Because, if you look closely, the right side overlays/wraps the left. It is only connected at the top (near the clasp) and at the bottom of the blouse. So there’s nothing to keep the blouse from not exposing your bra. :/

  2. Shelley says:

I love these picks. I absolutely adore that hunter green faux leather skirt, the ponte split back top, and the tunic. I’m heading to Toronto in a few weeks and will check out the store there, as there is none near me and I have to pay shipping and duty at the online store.

  3. Monica says:

FRIENDS40 will get you 40% off today.

    • Amanda says:

Thank you! I just place an unreasonably large order — love the new collection.

    • Shelley says:

Us Canadians get 30% off, but with shipping and duty it’s almost not worth it. I just did a quick check and duty charges on 3 items is almost $80 cdn.

  4. MW says:

Thank you, Monica! Just bought three new pairs of shoes.

The shoe new arrivals are on point. Ann Taylor is my go to for shoes, especially heels.

  5. Rebecca says:

How lucky I happened to come across this post during the 40% sale. I’m really loving both Ann Taylor and LOFT lately. They are definitely better than J. Crew. I bought nearly all of your picks (and some other things too)… P.S. I absolutely love your blog!

Sometimes you have to see a piece of clothing in the wild to truly appreciate it, seeing it in the store just isn’t enough. Grey jeans, for example. On a shelf, not for me. At brunch, on a woman who looked relaxed and chic? Now, I need them.
