To save money, I do my own nails. For years, I used a PedEgg to keep my feet callus free. The product worked well, but it wasn’t exactly efficient. So when I spotted the Amope Pedi Perfect ($36), I thought I’d take it for a spin.
Unlike the PegEgg, the Pedi Perfect works on battery power instead of Belle power. This makes it a much more efficient way to keep my feet in sandal shape. It cut my grooming time in half.
The other thing I noticed is that the file on the Amope does a much better job of polishing uneven skin than the PedEgg. It really reaches into all the tiny cracks and crevices. My feet have never been softer or smoother.
My one complaint about the Pedi Perfect is that it’s kind of messy. The filing process creates a fine dust that gets everywhere. To deal with this toxic cloud of removed skin, I started filing my feet in a dry bathtub. This kept the mess confined to a smaller area, and I can just rinse out the tub when I’m done.
For effectiveness and efficiency, the Pedi Perfect cannot be beat. In just a couple of minutes, your feet will look amazing. Add a bit of O’Keeffe’s Healthy Feet Cream and you’ll have the best pedi on the beach.
Do you do a basic neutral color or do you experiment with a French? Thanks
I’m not really a fan of french nails. I like a bright color like a classic red or a raspberry.
French tips on toes give me the heeby jeebies. Look too much like fingers.
