BPGP: CoverFX Cream Concealer

Apr 29, 2015

Snip20150428_29When you have acne, you can become a master at applying concealer.  Recently, I took CoverFX’s Cream Concealer ($27) for a spin.

The water-based concealer offers medium to full coverage.  It’s also a vegan product that is free of mineral oil and talc.  I like the consistency of this product because it’s substantial but not too heavy for every day wear.

It’s designed to be used on the under-eye area, but frankly, it did nothing to cover my dark circles. (I rely on Maybelline Age Rewind for that.)  My acne was another matter.  Using my Laura Mercier Secret Camouflage brush and a light hand, this concealer perfectly covers blemishes and dark spots.

While this concealer failed in its stated purpose (under-eye concealing), it is one of the best acne concealers that I’ve ever used.  It blends in perfectly with very little effort and doesn’t wear off as the day goes on.  Since so many other concealers start to fade by evening, I’m glad to have one that can go the distance.

P.S. If you only have moderate under-eye darkness, you might want to try this concealer.  Mine is a bit stronger, and this concealer was powerless to cover it.

Business Casual Outfit: Linen Closet

And just like that, it’s April. Summer is almost upon us, and the retailers are filled with linen wares. Now, you know that I am usually unwilling to wear linen to work due to the wrinkles. But in this post-pandemic world, perhaps my mind can change.
